Forever Family® is a truly unique, non-profit organization that utilizes the power of the media, through television segments and on-air promotions, to create awareness regarding children and teens in foster care --sensitively. We create public / private partnerships for the important task of finding children in foster care adoptive homes, recruitment of foster parents and volunteers, and help for teens ‘aging out’ of the foster care system.

and sponsorships to keep our program going.
This is a photo my 7 year old daughter drew at school for a vocabulary assignment. While it was just a simple school assignment about the word darkness, it really ripped my heart in two. A young girl, alone and afraid, calling for her mommy. And it got me thinking. What better illustration to send out to appeal to you about the critical need to support our Forever Family program?
There are half a million children in America's Foster Care System - 20,000 right here in Florida - crying out for the love and protection of a mommy and daddy. Sadly, many of these children will spend their entire childhood in foster care and enter the world alone on their 18th birthday. Forever Family is the only non-profit program of it's kind leading these children to the safety of a family by harnessing the power of major broadcast television stations to get the word out that these kids exist and are just like your kids and my kids.
And while we do not pay for any of our television or other media time - more than 3.5 million dollars worth per year! - we do have ro rely on the support of sponsors, grants, and the generosity of viewers and friends like you, to keep the program going. Forever Family DOES NOT receive funding from DCF or from the children's welfare agencies we partner with.
Forever Family reaches millions of potential adoptive families, foster families, volunteers and caring viewers each week on 7 media affiliates, including ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. Bringing the plights of these children into living rooms with a call to action. EVERYONE can do something for the orphans in our midst. Forever Family has a proven track record - with approximately 70% of children featured over the past 10 years now part of a family. These are children who are the most difficult to find homes for as they are older, minority, part of sibling groups and medically needy.
In addition to videos and television, Forever Family provides a toll free hotline, referral services, emergency fund, holiday gifts, and support groups to grandparents and other relatives raising children. I could go on and on about our good works and the lives we've changed, but instead I will simply ask that you click the videos and hear from the children and families yourself.
Forever Family does NOT receiving funding from DCF, CBCs or any of the child welfare agencies we serve. That is why we are appealing to YOU to help our program stay on the air and continue to grow.
NO child should be left calling out for a mom ALONE in the darkness.
